Lauren Weiss, PT, DPT Physical Therapist

Lauren has been working as a Physical Therapist in the Philadelphia area since 2006 after completing her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Arcadia University.  After finishing her undergraduate studies at Penn State in ’99, Lauren enjoyed an energetic career in pharmaceutical sales in New York City and Philadelphia until finding her life’s passion in physical therapy.

Lauren's PT career began at Kencrest providing home based Early Intervention PT services to infants, toddlers and their families.  She then joined the team at Shriners Hospital for Children for 4 years and specialized in treating infants and children with a variety of orthopedic impairments and children and teens with spinal cord injury.

Since 2011 she has worked at Pennsylvania Hospital as the co-lead PT in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and has attended the NANT national conference for neonatal therapists.  Lauren has presented at several conferences and served as a lab teaching assistant in Temple University’s PT graduate school program.  She brings her energy and expertise to our team and to the families she works with at Grow Thru Play.

Current areas of interest include torticollis treatment and empowering healthy posture and gross motor development.  She lives with her husband and two children in Center City Philadelphia.
